Visitor Information

Visiting Tempe St. Luke's Hospital

Tempe St. Luke's Hospital welcomes families and friends who wish to visit patients in the hospital. Tempe St. Luke's is committed to providing a patient-and family-centered environment. We understand that having loved ones nearby may improve healing and enhance the patient experience – family and friends are welcome to visit patients during our visiting hours (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM). We ask that all visitors check-in at the front desk to get a visitors pass, and also check in with the nursing station when arriving on the floor to learn if any restrictions apply to the patient they will be visiting. Below are some visitor guidelines to help assist you during your visit:

Visitor Guidelines:

  • General Visiting Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Daily
  • Extended visiting hours may be arranged at the discretion of the patient’s physician and the nursing supervisor (security will escort the visitor to the unit in the evening)
  • Visitors may be asked to leave a patient’s room during testing and treatments.
  • Please limit visitors to ages 13 and above.
  • Enter through the designated areas of the hospital.
  • Please wear a face mask when instructed to do so.
  • Visitors are encouraged to hand sanitize upon entering and leaving the facility and any patient room.

Anyone who feels sick and is not seeking care is asked to avoid visiting hospitals or other health care facilities for the protection of patients, hospital staff and the community.

Chapel & Spiritual Care

The Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital Chapel is located in the main lobby on the first floor. Patients and their families are welcome to visit the Chapel anytime.

For many patients, spiritual care plays a key role in the healing process. Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital has many volunteer chaplains representing a variety of faiths to care for our patients providing pastoral care, counseling, and sacraments. If you would like to receive a visit from one of our hospital chaplains, please notify the patient’s nurse or doctor. Only hospital staff with direct knowledge of the patient’s condition must call. The church office staff will ask several questions to evaluate the patient’s needs and condition.

Our Pyle Memorial Chapel is located in the main lobby of the hospital and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for patients, visitors, and staff.
